This bold logo design was created for the nation’s largest distributor of Motorola two-way radios. After twenty-five years in business, ACS, Inc. had never implemented an official logo to build their brand. Our goal was to develop an effective logo design that would strongly represent their product line for the next decade.
ACS Logo Design
We met with several members of management to define the existing company business model. This helped us understand how they perceived the company changing in five to ten years, and how the logo would reflect that. The current style of Motorola two-way radios is representative of the RM Series model pictured below. The life expectancy of a series to be at the forefront of the product line is five to seven years, so it made sense to utilize this distinct shape for the icon. We developed several concepts and held an office vote deciding which version to present to management, this was our favorite.
