When it comes to presenting unique challenges in offset business card printing, these Factual Photo business cards are a perfect example.  With a high-volume of employees and quick turnaround required to accommodate and multiple days needed for printing and dry time, we offered solutions.

While digital printing would meet their timeline, it would be run on a slightly thinner stock.  Since printing masters to reduce production time by a day was not possible due to license numbers on the back changing frequently, this left us with no other choice but to be as quick and efficient with print production from the time of approval.

The three color front requires two runs through the press.  The first laying down the blue and orange inks, which then requires a day to dry before running through again for the gray.  Then the backside is printed.  Being a dark blue ink that can rub off onto the backs of other cards when the pressure of a cutter hits the stack, this backside also requires additional drying time.  If there is no time to dry we apply slip sheets between each sheet to protect the backside during cutting.  Offset business card printing can often be a race against time!
