Advantages Magazine recently interviewed Jason McSweeney, President of dream ink, regarding social media marketing for business. While the traditional methods of print and promotions have been his focus the past thirteen years, his research and implementation of social media may be the key for business’ not only to reach more than 500 million monthly users, but to interact and provide customer service, problem resolution, and better products and services overall with one application: Facebook.  Here is an excerpt from the article:

“A recently added client was a high-school friend McSweeney had known since the early 1990’s who is now working in a marketing position.  She needed someone she could trust to take over the company’s ad specialty work.  “Sixteen years is quite a while to retain a sale,” jokes McSweeney.  He says that Facebook (social media marketing) has gotten him connected to people he may not have spoken to in years, and it adds to the value of the exchange when they connect.  “It brings a bit of nostalgia; “Remember that summer when all we did was ride bikes?”  You get a good feeling, so you naturally have positive reinforcement to do business together,” he adds.
